A specialized niche of magic, conjuration is a mix of highly skilled transfiguration, charms, and some dark arts elements. Only fifth-years and up are taught conjuration at Gerhardt, however there are three spells that younger students do learn, as they are inordinately easy conjurations: fulgar, the fire summoning spell, the flower creation spell, and inundo, the water summoning spell. The class is co-taught by the transfiguration and charms teachers.
Despite the multitude of items that can be conjured, there are a select few things that cannot. Among these known items are food, most types of animals, and another human being. There are also limits to these conjured items in the form of flaws. Some of these flaws are more drastic than others. Some flaws might be time limits of the conjured item's existence, weaknesses within the conjured item's material, or even malformation over time. The more complex the conjured item is, the higher the likelihood of flaws being present there is.
Any adult witch or wizard is capable of conjuration, and with enough practice can master it completely. It is considered some of the most complex and frustrating magic that is taught in the magic schools of the world.
